Over the last couple years I have been learning more and more about the origins of the holidays I was raised celebrating and this year I've finally had enough. The time has come that I have decided that I will no longer be celebrating Christmas, Easter, or Halloween! (I also have some reservations about New Years but that is not quite the same ball of cans of waxy worms and would take too much time to explore here.) It has taken me a few years to finally renounce the pagan holidays entirely for a couple of reasons that I will discuss below. You may be thinking at this point: " 'pagan holidays'??
